- Using Tri-Polymer instead of simple caulk
- Using Tamko shingles that are algae resistant for protection against black discoloration found on most roofs.
- Installing Shingle Vent II, instead of aluminum ridge vents, which offers a unique shingle over design for a more attractive look and more efficient air venting. Some roofers only run the Shingle Vent about 6-12″ from the end of the roof to cut corners, but we install it the entire length.
- We also use .019 color coordinated flashing for pipes and chimneys, etc, as opposed to the galvanized metal other roofers use. The .019 does not rust or discolor, and looks much nicer because we can coordinate the color with the color of the shingles.
- We also use Tamko Premium felt which is more asphalt saturated and water resistant than other brands.
